Interaction with Convent Green Lane students

Today, we had held our weekly meeting at 4SA5 from 10.30am-12pm.During this weekly meeting, key clubbers has the opportunity to interact with 4 students from CGL. They are Felicia, Crystal, Shei Sze and Yin Foong. For your information, Felicia is the initiator to create a new KEY Club and they came to seek help and get some information about Kiwanis and then form a Kiwanis based club in their school.Our Kiwanis Advisor, Mr. Dick Khoo briefly introdude Kiwanis, Key Club and Builders Club. During his speech, he shown us some picture of Kiwanis Leadership camp and he also share some of his experience in serving community as he was the kiwanis club president for 4 years. Pn. Oon, our club teacher advisor explaining the structure of KEY Club and show us how to run a club. Since our guest are only in form 2, Mr Dick Khoo suggest them to form Builders Club as Key Club are more suitable for upper secondary. Anyway, those two clubs are the same as they are from Kiwanis and the main purpose is to serve the people and community.Pn Oon has helped our club president to break the ice and started the girls with some simple self-introduction. Pn. Oon has also suggested Shei Sze to become the president and later Yin Foong volunteered to become the treasurer. After all , Felicia decided to hold the vice president post while Crystal settled with secretary.

Although the forming of club is still in the early stage, we would like to congratulate the CGL girls for taking the initiative in creating a new Kiwanis based club. Besides, we also hope that Kiwanis based club continue to grow in Malaysia and gain reputation throughout Malaysia.

This activity is compulsory to Form 1,2,4 Key Club members and non-compulsory for Form 3 and Form 5 members as they are sitting for examination this year. If you have any inquiry, please feel free to contact our club secretary, Chee Chen Wei, 4SA3.

During the activity , our club will also enlighten new members about the curriculum marking in our school and how to fill in Borang BPP properly. For your information. Borang BPP is the form every students need to fill in for their curriculum and submit to the Gerko.
